Every manufacturer selling a product in the United States must certify electromagnetic safety by making arrangements with third-party laboratories to perform certain tests and measurements. If the commission approves the data for a certain product, then the manufacturer receives the FCC mark and the device can be offered for sale.

To make the camera work, you need to use the PoE Switch (IEEE 802.3af, 48V Active) or DC Power (DC 12V1 /2A) to power on the camera. The quality of the video for both cameras has been excellent for my needs and based on the price of the cameras.

First Impressions:

The RLC-811A obviously edges the RLC-810A with its spotlights, zoom, and CMOS sensor, but aside from these both cameras can rival.

As noted in the first part of the review, the camera does not come with a power adapter and does not support WiFi. So I had to find a 12V power adapter and used a 15-meter Ethernet cable to connect it to my router. So far I feel like the RLC-810A does a better job with motion detection. Although it does say "Person alert" when my dog is in frame, but I treat my dog like a kid, so maybe the camera is onto something.

The Reolink RLC-811A has just one model. It looks just like the RLC-810A but with some added features. Beginning with, it has a lens specification of f-2.7 to 13.5 mm, and F-1.6 to 3.3, while its field of view is 105° – 31° horizontally, and 55° – 17° vertically. The camera’s night vision range is a 30-meter distance with 4 infrared LEDs. In addition to this, the Reolink RLC-811A is designed with spotlights (5 pcs, 6500K, 450 Lumens) to enable colored night vision. The Reolink RLC-810A is an outdoor, bullet-IP camera, and primarily a Power over Ethernet ( PoE) camera. It is IP66 ratedand can also be powered up with a 12 Volts, 1 Amp, D.C adapter with less than 12 Watts of power. What interests me most about this camera is person & vehicle detection, because I get so many useless “motion detected” alerts with my other cameras, I have stopped to care. To set up the camera, you need to connect the camera to a PoE switch/injector for network connection. After that, you may finish the initial setup via both Reolink App and Reolink Client.
